Maintaining situational awareness of all facets of a response is challenging under the best of circumstances.

  • Response Unit - Discusses the importance of resource tracking processes during all phases of an incident; and also identifies ICS tools to be used to manage, track and provide briefing on incident resources during the planning cycle.

  • Situation Unit - Understanding the roles and responsibilities of the situation unit is essential to maintaining situational awareness for the entire emergency response organization.

  • This process driven “survival” course provides a general overview of your role and the importance of understanding what interactions you have with each functional section of the General Staff.
